JUST IN: Philadelphia 76ers Supporters’ Disappointed Reaction to Joel Embiid’s News Came as…

Unhappy Philadelphia 76ers Fans React to Joel Embiid News

Joel Embiid’s injury situation has been a problem for the Philadelphia 76ers all season. When he is on the court, he is still a difference-maker. But unfortunately, he is rarely available these days. Out of the Sixers’ first 41 games this season, which is the halfway mark, Embiid has only played 13 times. Also, he has not really suffered a long-term injury, only ongoing ones that continue to disrupt his and the 76ers’

campaign. Now, there is even more worrying news for the Sixers as it looks like Embiid’s knee is giving him problems once again. That is the last thing that they need right now. According to Shams Charania, Embiid will be re-evaluated in 7 to 10 days and will receive treatment to address swelling in his left knee. Embiid participated in an on-court workout on Thursday and experienced an increase in knee swelling following the session.

Of course, a lot of Philly fans are now starting to give up on this season and Embiid as well, whose time as one of the best players in the league might be over if he is not able to put his fitness issues behind him. Is this the beginning of the end for ‘The Process’?

One 76ers fan wrote: “The process is over…it’s been a huge failure.”

Another questioned the 76ers’ hopes of making the playoffs: “It’s gotten ridiculous now. They want him healthy for the playoffs but at this point. They won’t make it.” The Sixers making the playoffs is certainly no guarantee. In fact, those hopes might be slipping away already. They are 15-26 and certainly not getting any better as they are on a six-game losing streak. Paul George has not been the superstar for the Sixers that he was expected to be while Tyrese Maxey has struggled to carry the team on his back.
